2023 - The Cuthbert Hospital Authority received a 17.6 million dollar grant to reopen the hospital and emergency room. Mayor Jenkins led the lobbying effort of our federal officials to accomplish this.
January, 2021 - Bobby co-founded "Neighbor to Neighbor" project to bring COVID vaccines to Cuthbert. Bobby says "Until neighbors are vaccinated, the economy cannot recover."
October, 2020 - Regional Medical Center in Cuthbert closed. "The day the hospital closed in Cuthbert was like a funeral for us...the loss has been devastating. We need 24 hour emergency room access in Cuthbert." Bobby Jenkins

Bobby has a history of working with industry and the business community to bring jobs to our area. Mayor Jenkins is currently working to expand the capacity of Cuthbert's Chicken Rendering plant to keep jobs in the area.

When Bobby became superintendent, all of the school were failing by state standards. Under Bobby's leadership, all of the schools were raised to "adequate yearly progress."
Bobby will partner with the school system to support programs for students to provide a quality education.

All mothers are working mothers! Bobby understands that the moms in our community face unique challenges. As a parent and life long educator, Bobby will look for ways to support mothers and families.
Mayor Jenkins works with Empower Southwest Georgia to provide Digital Literacy Classes to families in the community.
Bobby Jenkins understands housing...
Bobby is working with local, state, and federal leaders to provide adequate housing for ownership or rental. During his term, he has torn down 40 dilapidated houses in Cuthbert and applied for a CHIP grant to renovate substandard housing.
Bobby Jenkins understands recreation for Cuthbert youth...
Our kids deserve organized recreational opportunities. The Cuthbert pool has been open for three years. Mayor Jenkins is currently working on renovating the pool with the addition of a splash pad for younger kids with the help of a recreation grant.
Bobby Jenkins understands law enforcement with transparency.
Bobby supports Cuthbert law enforcement, but he also makes a commitment to increasing transparency by establishing a citizens' review committee.
