Bobby Jenkins is a Cuthbert native...born and reared in Randolph County. He attended and graduated from Henderson High School in 1970. After attending Albany State University, Albany, GA, he received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. He also received a Master’s and a Specialist degree from Valdosta State University in Mathematics Education and Educational Administration and Supervision respectively, with further study at Georgia State University.

Management Experience
In January of 1997, Bobby became the first Black Superintendent of Randolph County. He served in that position for over 12 years and retired in 2009. Prior to returning to Randolph County he served as a principal in the Tift County Schools for 10 years, assistant principal for 4 years, and taught high school mathematics for 8 years.
A Good Neighbor
Bobby’s community involvement includes serving as a past president of the Cuthbert Rotary, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tifton, Chairman of the Deacon Board at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, President of the Randolph County Democratic Committee, Treasurer of Fletcher Henderson Foundation and The October Club, a Life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the NAACP, and President of the Randolph County Retired Educators Association.
Bobby is married to Naomi Slaughter Jenkins, and they have two children, Theron Jenkins and Traci Jenkins, MD.
